About the Role

WorkPac are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the team in Gladstone. This position will support daily laboratory operations, performing both routine and research-based activities, while maintaining compliance with HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory activities including wet chemical titrations, reagent preparation, instrument setup and operation, and consumables checks
  • Assist research chemists with laboratory projects, ensuring accurate and reliable results
  • Maintain housekeeping standards, conduct HSE checks, and contribute to safe and efficient laboratory practices

Skills and Experience Required

  • Certificate in laboratory skills or equivalent qualification (experience in a Bayer laboratory highly regarded but not essential)
  • Strong HSE focus, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently
  • Experience using a range of laboratory instruments/equipment, with sound computer skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks, and perform light to moderate manual handling tasks
