ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cairns Convention Centre is seeking a Facilities Management Director with strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of the operational requirements of a world-class convention centre.

You'll be joining a values-driven team that embraces collaboration, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement. The event environment is fast-paced and supportive, offering variety and challenge in equal measure.

In this role, you'll manage and protect the Centre's assets while overseeing services related to security, maintenance, and venue presentation. You'll lead the performance of building systems including HVAC, energy management, compliance, and contractor coordination—ensuring safe, sustainable, and reliable infrastructure that supports every event.

As part of the Executive Team, you'll lead a group of professionals across Facilities Management, Security, and Venue Presentation.

You will oversee preventative maintenance and asset performance, ensuring our systems meet the evolving needs of clients, staff, and visitors. You'll also provide strategic advice on future capital investment.

• Experienced in 
  facilities management, building operations, and contractor oversight
  .
• Strong organisation skills with at least 10 years' experience in Facilities Management
• Flexible
   and able to
