About the role
Join our friendly, professional team at Child and Adolescent Development Service (CAADS) as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. This full- or part-time role is based in North Lakes, Queensland, where you will play a vital part in providing high-quality therapy services to children and adolescents.
What you'll be doing
· Assessing needs and developing individualised treatment plans for children and adolescents with a range of developmental, physical, social and emotional challenges
· Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to support clients in achieving their functional goals
· Evaluating functioning and providing advice and recommendations to other stakeholders (e.g. day-care, school, NDIA)
· Collaborating closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to client care
· Maintaining detailed clinical records and contributing to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of services
What we're looking for
· Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
· Minimum 2 years' experience working as a paediatric occupational therapist, preferably in a community-based or private practice setting
· Excellent clinical assessment and intervention skills, with a strong understanding of child development and therapeutic approaches
· Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families and other stakeholders
· Adaptability and problem-solving skills to manage a diverse caseload and respond to the unique needs of each client
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
