Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Spray Painter to prepare, paint, and finish metal surfaces using spray equipment in accordance with specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with various painting techniques and equipment, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers as needed.
  • Mix and apply paints, coatings, and finishes using airless or conventional spray equipment.
  • Ensure proper thickness, coverage, and finish according to job specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain spray painting equipment and tools.
  • Follow safety procedures for handling paints, solvents, and other hazardous materials.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality, touch up as necessary, and ensure final product meets required standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area, including cleaning spray guns and equipment after use.
  • Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, or paint specifications.
  • Assist with other shop or fabrication duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an industrial spray painter (2+ years preferred).
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and types of coatings (epoxy, polyurethane, enamel, etc.).
  • Familiarity with spray equipment (HVLP, airless, electrostatic, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in various positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, or heavy industry environment.
  • Forklift or scissor lift certification.

Pay: $75,500.00 – $95,000.00 per year
