Position Summary
The Disability Support Worker provides direct support to NDIS participants in their homes and the community. This role involves assisting clients to achieve their personal goals, maintain independence, and engage meaningfully in their communities while upholding dignity, choice, and control.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred support in line with participants' NDIS goals and individual care plans.
Support clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, domestic tasks, and medication prompts (as required).
Facilitate community access, transport, and social participation.
Promote skill development and independence through active support.
Maintain accurate case notes, progress reports, and incident records in compliance with NDIS and organisational policies.
Ensure safe working practices and follow infection control, manual handling, and WHS procedures.
Respect cultural, religious, and individual diversity, promoting inclusion and dignity.
Communicate effectively with participants, families, and other stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in disability, aged care, or community services (preferred but not essential).
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or equivalent (or working towards).
Current First Aid Certificate & CPR.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current Working With Children Check (if required).
Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
COVID-19 Vaccination evidence (as per government requirements).
Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience with complex care (e.g., mental health, psychosocial recovery, behavioural support).
Knowledge of NDIS Code of Conduct and Quality & Safeguards Framework.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Pay: $35.00 – $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 24 per week
