Boomerang Support Services is a leading disability support service provider, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in the Victoria. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care and support to our clients, promoting their independence and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to clients with disabilities in their homes or within the community.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
  • Implement individualised care plans and support strategies, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of clients are met.
  • Promote independence and community participation by encouraging clients to engage in social, recreational, and educational activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, activities, and any incidents or concerns.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic and person-centered approach to care.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle with fully comprehensive insurance and registration.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Card.
  • Current National Police Check.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working in the disability support sector or a related field.
  • Understanding of person-centered care principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays if required.
