The Role:

A stable and diverse field service technician role exists for a qualified and experienced mechanic within Australia's largest supplier of forklifts. Gladstone and surrounds.

  • Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units which includes preventative service and breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining professional level of customer service with all clients and customers.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and automated systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance services to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Respond to service calls efficiently, providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with the wider service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology and service procedures within the industry.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of job sheets, timesheets and any other administrative components.

The Successful Applicant Should Have:

  • Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic).
  • Current White Card.
  • Full Australian driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a full medical including a drug and alcohol test.
