About Our Client:

Our client specialise in the supply of premium mechanical engineering products, parts and servicing, for rotating and static equipment, across a range of industrial activities.

What you will be doing:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Machinist based in Gladstone for an immediate start. Applicants will be working in the dewatering industry working on maintenance and assembly of machinery and equipment.

Work will include but not limited to :

  • Machining and Fitter work
  • Work from drawings or prints to do precision work
  • Performing routine cleaning and maintenance
  • Examine faulty machinery and equipment for defects
  • Remove and replace damaged parts, Assemble parts, tooling to ensure accurate fit
  • Undertake emergency repairs of metal parts of machinery and equipment
  • Set up the machine for operation
  • Operate a machine performing a specified function

You will need to be proficient in:

  • Basic and complex engineering
  • Follow work instructions from scope of works
  • Applying the principles of mechanics
  • Operation of machinery

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Certificate IV- Mechanical Engineering or equivalent ( 3 yrs exp)
  • Forklift, Dogging , Rigging tickets preferred
  • Construction card
  • QLD Driver's License and Own Transport
