Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced
Middleware / Integration Engineer
to support critical system integration, configuration, and testing activities within a secure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, managing certificates, performing routing configuration updates, and ensuring secure data exchange across multiple systems.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role requiring strong expertise in
IBM Middleware
,
DataPower
, and
Identity and Access Management
tools. Candidates must hold an active
NV1 security clearance
(NV2 preferred).

Contract Summary

    Day/hourly rate based on experience

    2 months (potential extension of an additional few months)

Responsibilities

  • Support the testing of new software releases and resolve issues identified during test execution
  • Implement environment configuration changes, particularly web interface connections to new environments
  • Perform routing configuration updates and integration point adjustments
  • Manage digital certificate updates, including renewal of expired certificates
  • Conduct system re-pointing and onboarding activities for new environments
  • Execute connectivity tests and incident resolution during integration testing cycles
  • Ensure secure data transfer using
    SOAP web services
    and
    secure file transfer protocols (SFTP/FTPS)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and connectivity issues across environments

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a
    Middleware Engineer
    or
    Integration Engineer
    in enterprise or government environments
  • Hands-on experience with
    IBM Middleware (DataPower)
    and
    Identity & Access Management
    tools including
    IBM Security Access Manager
    and
    IBM Security Directory Server
  • Strong understanding of
    SOAP web services
    and
    secure file transfer protocols (SFTP/FTPS)
  • Experience managing certificates, renewals, and secure connectivity configurations
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for integration testing and environment setup
  • Ability to work effectively in secure, fast-paced environments with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
