Upper South Creek Network Project – Supporting Western Sydney's Growth
Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to support the procurement process and provide technical assistance across key USCN project deliverables.

In this role, you'll work closely with project and delivery teams to ensure procurement activities run smoothly and efficiently, while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and maintaining robust sourcing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Precontracts team in developing work packages and identifying key vendors for bids and tenders.
• Negotiate and maintain competitive prices from suppliers regularly.
• Prepare vendor analysis sheets to compare suppliers' pricing on trade components.
• Maintain supplier contact details and update the Subcontractor Management System.
• Develop and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers and provide feedback as required.

About You

• Previous experience in a procurement role within civil construction.
• Ability to build relationships over the phone, sometimes from scratch.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications typically used in major civil construction projects.
• Previous experience preparing quote requests and collecting and analysing quotes.
• Driver's licence.
