About the role

This full-time Tanker Driver Dangerous Goods role at Geoff Tombs Bulk Haulage P/L in Dayboro QLD 4521 is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing transport company. As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of dangerous goods to and from various locations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operate and manoeuvre large tanker vehicles, transporting a variety of dangerous goods
  2. Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to ensure the safe transportation of hazardous materials
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any issues or maintenance needs
  4. Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
  5. Liaise with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and operational procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Valid MC driver's licence and Dangerous Goods Licence
  2. Strong understanding of and commitment to safe handling procedures for dangerous goods
  3. Excellent driving skills and the ability to manoeuvre large vehicles in tight spaces
  4. Effective communication and customer service skills
  5. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  6. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
