Full-Time | Rotating Roster | Monday to Sunday | Start times between 4:30 AM – 1:30 AM

We're looking for a proactive and safety-focused Freight Coordinator to join our high-performing team at Melbourne Airport.

As a Freight Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time movement of cargo from the warehouse to the airline ramp — helping to keep flights on schedule and freight flowing seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety checks on all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) prior to use
  • Accurately transmit and record freight manifest information
  • Maintain documentation and compliance records
  • Liaise professionally with clients, airlines, and internal teams
  • Build strong relationships with industry partners
  • Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods Acceptance, Load Restraint, and Security procedures
  • Coordinate accurate cargo dispatch aligned with Airline Systems and Freight Manifests
  • Accompany cargo with appropriate documentation, manifest, and NOTOC
  • Perform additional operational duties as required
What You'll Bring

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 12 months in an aviation or logistics operations role
  • Knowledge of aircraft load control, ramp, or cargo safety procedures
  • Understanding of CASA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office

  • A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Team player who can also work independently

Qualifications

  • Current Driver's License
  • Valid ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
  • Forklift License (LF)
