Manly Boat Hire is one of Sydney Harbour's longest-running and most iconic hire businesses, offering locals and visitors unforgettable on-water experiences. We're a small, passionate team based on the Northern Beaches, running a fleet of BBQ boats, fishing boats, and adventure vessels from Little Manly and The Spit, Mosman.

We pride ourselves on creating a fun, safe and professional environment — both for our customers and our crew.

About the Role

We're looking for an energetic and reliable Marine Operations Crew Member to join our team.

You'll help keep our fleet running smoothly and ensure our customers have an amazing (and safe) day on the water.

This role is hands-on, outdoors, and perfect for someone who loves the ocean, boats, and dealing with people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting customers with check-in, safety briefings and vessel operation guidelines
  • Driving and manoeuvring hire vessels (including BBQ boats and tenders)
  • Refuelling, cleaning, and securing vessels after hire
  • General maintenance and basic mechanical checks
  • Launching and retrieving boats as required
  • Supporting day-to-day marina and operational logistics
  • Providing friendly and professional customer service on the beach and dock

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has strong communication and customer service skills
  • Is comfortable working around boats and on the water
  • Is proactive, reliable, and enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Has a positive attitude and works well in a small team

Bonus points if you have:

  • A NSW General Boat Licence
  • Mechanical or marine experience
  • Experience in tourism, customer service, or outdoor recreation
  • First Aid or CPR certification
