The Home Buying team has end to end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank's home loans business. We support the proprietary and third party sales and service teams to meet our customers' needs for home finance and advice.

The valuation team vision is to deliver the best valuation experience of home loan customers and evolve to the world's best end to end process. The valuation panel team is responsible for performance of the residential valuation panel, by gaining valuation operational efficiency without increasing risk, monitoring valuation panel performance and optimising valuation allocations using industry best practice techniques. You will be developing strong relationships with panel valuers and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance and control processes, including compliance reviews, control testing, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance valuation processes.
  • Identify and manage emerging valuation and property risks.
  • Assess valuation instruction exceptions in line with CBA policy and controls.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on residential valuations.
  • Collect, organize, and analyse data for reporting.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service focused on home buyers' needs.

Requirements

  • Experience in residential property valuations across all report types.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft suite or similar products.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and a record of delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Membership of the Australian Property Institute (API) or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, or Property Economics.
