Job description:

Your Role

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women, with or without children, experiencing homelessness. Join our new Women's Temporary Accommodation service in Swansea, providing trauma-informed, therapeutic case work support to help clients maintain stable housing, improve wellbeing, and access the services they need. You will be part of a collaborative, supportive team that values empathy, client-centred practice, and continuous learning.

Your Responsibility

  • Deliver client-centred case management to support housing stability.
  • Build strong partnerships with community services, government agencies and NGOs.
  • Uphold clients' rights with respect, confidentiality and a trauma-informed approach.
  • Develop, monitor and review case plans aligned with SHS guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate client records and meet service targets.
  • Supervise volunteers and students on placement.
  • Conduct risk assessments and promote workplace health and safety.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Profile description:

You Will Need

  • TAFE Certificate IV or working towards tertiary qualification in welfare or related field.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable women/children, ideally in a community services setting
  • Knowledge of homelessness issues and local support services.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sound judgement in crisis situations.
  • NSW driver licence.
