The Penrith Panthers are seeking an outstanding athletic performance coach to join our team as Physical Preparation Lead for the 2026 and 2027 NRL season.

About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Performance, this position is responsible for the design and delivery of world-class Strength, Power and Speed programs for the Panthers NRL squad. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maximising player physical performance and durability, combining elite-level expertise in sports science, physical preparation and injury prevention. The Physical Preparation Lead will also work closely with both coaching and medical staff to ensure players are physically prepared to perform at their peak across the NRL season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver world-class strength, power and speed programs aligned with the Panthers performance philosophy
  • Implement evidence-based programs to maximise physical performance and durability
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to inform and implement individualised performance plans
  • Collaborate with sports science and medical staff to optimise return-to-performance protocols
  • Contribute to the alignment of physical preparation standards and systems throughout the club's pathways system

Panthers Are Seeking An Applicant Who Has

  • Elite coaching experience in high-performance sport
  • Experience working with athletes in contact or collision-based sport
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver strength, power and speed programs
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Exercise or Sport Science

Essential Requirements

  • Human Movement/ Coaching/ Exercise/ Sports Science Degree
  • Level 2 Strength & Conditioning Coach
  • ASCA PCAS Professional Coach
  • National Police Check/ Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Valid Driver's License

Desirable Criteria

  • Level 3 Strength & Conditioning Coach
