The Role
The Export Sales and Manager will be part of the Ranged (Export) team and play a pivotal role in developing and executing export strategies for Australian consumer brands across key international markets. This position requires a commercially minded and highly organised professional capable of managing client, distributor and retailer relationships, negotiating complex commercial terms, and driving our partner brands growth globally.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement export sales strategies for Australian consumer brands across priority global markets.
· Identify, secure, and manage partnerships with international distributors and retailers to expand brand reach.
· Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and contractual agreements with overseas partners.
· Collaborate closely with internal brand partner teams to align export objectives with marketing, supply chain, and financial goals.
· Monitor category trends, competitor performance, and market insights to inform brand and channel strategies.
· Build and manage export pipelines for multiple clients, ensuring growth and accountability across markets.
· Present brand portfolios, pricing, and promotional programs to potential international partners.
· Where required, oversee order processing, logistics coordination, and export documentation.
· Support clients and distributors in ensuring compliance with market-specific regulations, labelling, and product registration requirements.
· Track sales performance, prepare regular export reports, and maintain active WIP updates for each brand partner.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and commercially astute individual with a passion for global markets, consumer brands, and business growth. The ideal candidate will combine strong relationship management skills with a deep understanding of international trade dynamics and export operations.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
· Minimum of 2 years' experience in export sales, international business development, or consumer brand account management.
· Proven experience managing distributor and retailer relationships across multiple global markets.
· Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms and execute effective market entry strategies.
· Knowledge of international trade, logistics, and compliance frameworks.
· Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Understanding of consumer brand market dynamics and distributor networks.
· Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management capabilities.
· High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple markets, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
· Excellent communication and cross-cultural relationship management skills.
Preferred Attributes
· Additional certification in Export or International Business.
· Previous experience in a similar export or global sales role within consumer brands.
· A proactive, results-driven approach with a collaborative mindset and strong people skills.
Remuneration & Terms
· Salary Range: AUD $70,000 – $90,000 per annum (inclusive of superannuation), commensurate with experience and capability.
· Employment Type: Full-time, permanent role (35 hours per week).
· Location: Sydney with flexibility for hybrid working arrangements.
· Reporting To: Executive Director of Export.
· Probation Period: 3 months from commencement.
· Performance Reviews: Conducted annually, with interim reviews as required.
