Pembroke School is seeking energetic and passionate Casual Rowing Coaches to join our vibrant and growing rowing program. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is passionate about developing young people, both on and off the water.

Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Renowned for academic excellence and a broad, inclusive program, Pembroke offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Pembroke is a vibrant and exciting School catering for a diverse community of students. With over 1,700 students, the School offers a broad-ranging curriculum and an outstanding choice of co-curricular opportunities. The School employs over 300 permanent and fixed-term staff plus more than 150 casual employees.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Share your expertise to help students develop technical skills, fitness, and a love for the sport.
• Inspire teamwork, resilience, and personal growth in a supportive environment.
• Work alongside a dedicated team of coaches and staff to deliver a high-quality program across training sessions and regattas.
• Contribute to the proud tradition of rowing at Pembroke while helping shape its exciting future.
• Boys First VIII's coaches are strongly encouraged to apply.

About You

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting student growth, fostering a positive team culture, and contributing to the continued success of our rowing program.

You will bring:

• Energetic, approachable, and encouraging when working with young people.
• Strong communicators with a focus on teamwork and positive culture.
• Available to support training sessions before and after school, as well as weekend regattas.
• Ideally experienced in rowing or coaching (although training and support will be provided).

Required for Employment

• Current Working with Children Check (South Australia)
• Current Plink RRHAN-EC training:
• Masterclass and Fundamentals (including Protective Practices)
• First Aid and CPR
