Client is a multi state project management consultancy with offices across the eastern states. They are end to end firm and proud of their ability to support clients across multiple project classes. As result of ongoing growth, they are looking to hire a client side project manager.
Your new role
The role is end to end project management so will be running projects from inception through design, DA and procurement and management of main contractors including acting as supers representative. Projects initially will be hospitality and multi residential, but in six months could be education, health, aged care etc. So industry specific experience not essential. Projects tend to be larger some experience of 10's million dollar – especially in multi-residential space would be a positive.
What you'll need to succeed
The client is looking to engage either a client-side consultancy PM with good tenure and experience working for one of their competitors, or experienced (senior) contract administrator with tier 2 or 3 commercial builder that is looking to move into a client side role and has a real interest in learning a more varied role in the sector.
Candidates would need tertiary qualification in construction management or potentially quantity surveying and minimum 5 years working in the industry locally.
In addition, strong stakeholder skills and an ability to network and develop business would be an essential component of the position as the company looks to grow a bigger footprint in South East Queensland.
