This is your opportunity to lead and grow in one of Victoria's most exciting and progressive public fertility services.

About the Role

Monash Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse or Midwife Manager to join our expanding Public Fertility Program. As a clinical leader, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing fertility treatment. This role will suit a clinician who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and who is driven to support individuals and families from all walks of life.

You will lead a team of passionate clinicians, be supported by senior staff and clinical mentors, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team including doctors, embryologists, and allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse/Midwife Manager in Fertility Services, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred fertility care in line with RTAC, clinical, and Monash Health standards.
  • Provide clinical leadership across Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART) coordination, ultrasound, medication management, patient education, and escalation of care.
  • Support and develop staff through supervision, mentoring, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Drive evidence-based practice and quality improvement, ensuring compliance with fertility regulations and performance indicators.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including patient flow, rostering, resource management, and financial accountability.
  • Uphold professional standards, contribute to service planning, and advocate for equitable, inclusive fertility care.

About Us

Monash Health is proud to be a Tier 1 Satellite Site in partnership with The Royal Women's Hospital, delivering Victoria's first Public Fertility Care Service. Our mission is to provide equitable access to high-quality fertility services to those who are underserved by the private sector — including single individuals, LGBTIQ+ people, First Nations people, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disabilities, and those from rural or low-income backgrounds.

Our comprehensive fertility services include:

  • IVF/ICSI, artificial insemination & ovulation induction
  • Fertility preservation for medical reasons
  • Donor services, surrogacy & genetic testing
  • Inclusive, culturally safe care for all individuals

We aim for industry-leading success rates and uphold the highest ethical and clinical standards — always putting the physical and psychological wellbeing of our patients first.

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the management of patients with infertility
  • Demonstrated continuing nursing education in the field of infertility, as required by Australian fertility standards
  • Demonstrated leadership experience to support a positive culture within the team
  • Willingness to train in or experience with vaginal follicle tracking ultrasound
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within a close-knit multidisciplinary team
  • High-level verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Calm, empathetic nature with a patient-centred focus
  • Familiarity with patient management software

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in fertility nursing or ART services
  • Background in women's health
