The Technical Product Owner will define the vision and roadmap for initiatives within the Product Discovery & Experimentation team, utilizing technical expertise in highly complex system technologies and platforms to inform technical strategy and deliver customer and business value. 
 
Working in a triad with Engineering and Design, you will shape opportunities, translate ambiguous problems into clear priorities, and guide delivery of prototypes, pilots, and platform capabilities. This role is central to how the team helps the organisation innovate faster - building solutions in partnership with business units, while also shaping tools and technologies that accelerate discovery and testing. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for discovery and experimentation initiatives. 

• Translate ambiguous opportunities into clear problem statements, testable hypotheses, and prioritised initiatives. 

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities reflect customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility. 

• Apply modern product principles to discovery and delivery, ensuring teams are empowered and outcome-focused. 

• Partner with design and engineering on design, technical feasibility, and platform strategy. 

• Shape strategy for tools and capabilities that enable faster, scalable experimentation. 

• Translate technical concepts into simple, compelling narratives for executives and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Build strong partnerships with business units, ensuring prototypes and solutions generate validated outcomes.

Technical Skills & Experience 
 We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• Extensive experience in product ownership or product management

• Strong understanding of modern product practices and demonstrated application of continuous discovery. 

• Proven experience in defining product vision, roadmaps, and backlogs in complex technical environments. 

• Strong technical literacy in modern system architectures (cloud, APIs, data, AI/ML awareness). 

• Experienced in agile product development and lean experimentation practices.
