5B was recently awarded AUD 46 million in funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) with a significant portion of this funding dedicated to a large R&D and Product Development program to further optimise the solution and accelerate its delivery.

The Role:

Our Production Workers are responsible for the assembly of the 5B Maverick (MAV) in a timely manner ensuring high quality output.

Key Tasks:

Working in a team to build our ground-mounted Maverick (MAV), which involves:

  • Using a variety of hand tools including: crimpers, cutters, heat gun, spanners, rivet gun and nutsert tool and torque wrench
  • Undertaking pre-assembly and assembly work as directed
  • The Assembly of solar modules, connection of electrical wires and metal tethers
  • Able to follow directions as specified by supervisors and management.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Be available to work day shift: 7.30am to 4.00pm and/or afternoon shift: 2.50pm to 11.20pm
  • Be an experienced process or production worker with manual handling experience
  • Be physically fit, able to stand for long periods and can perform repetitive duties
  • Be able to follow training instructions and develop skills in a timely manner
  • Have a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Possess a strong work ethic: team player, reliable and punctual
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have a reliable mode of transportation.
  • Have a stable work history with checkable referees.
