We are a medium sized retail company operating in Queensland . We service and sell a large range of outdoor power equipment, ranging from small electric and battery operated mowers, trimmers and chainsaws to large petrol and diesel powered commercial ride-on mowers.

About the role

We have a vacancy for a full time, small engine mechanic apprentice in our Beenleigh store, Beenleigh Pump and Mower Supplies. The apprenticeship is for 4 years.

Pump and Mowers Supplies has a large, busy workshop with a senior qualified mechanic. The successful candidate will receive the following:

  • Fantastic on the job, hands on mechanical training by qualified mechanics.
  • Certificate III qualification in outdoor power equipment mechanics paid for by us.
  • Exposure to a busy retail and service environment.
  • Training on point of sale systems.
  • Basic sales and customer service training.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • At least a year 10 Certificate
  • Outgoing personality

  • Presentable
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working hours will be 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday, rostered Saturdays from 8am - 1pm. Overtime rates apply for Saturday work.

You will report directly to a senior mechanic and store manager

Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining a neat and tidy workshop
  • Assembly of stock
  • Repairing customer's equipment
  • Pre-delivery of items sold
  • Booking in of customer's repairs
  • Assisting the sales manager in the showroom with sales

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $34,000.00 – $38,000.00 per year
