NEPEAN Conveyors engineer, procure, construct, commission, and optimise the availability of integrated electro-mechanical bulk materials handling conveyor solutions and products across the entire product lifecycle. About the Role
Ready to get paid while you learn? As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you'll work hands-on with industry-leading underground mining equipment, training alongside highly skilled tradespeople while completing your nationally recognised Certificate III.
Apprentice Boilermaker – Key Duties
- Assist in fabricating conveyor frames, chutes, and structural components under supervision.
- Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings to understand project requirements.
- Support qualified boilermakers in welding (MIG, TIG, and stick) and metal preparation tasks.
- Operate basic workshop tools and machinery such as grinders, drills, and cutting equipment (after training).
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear the correct PPE at all times.
- Work as part of a team, assisting with assembly, fitting, and installation of conveyor components.
- Attend and complete TAFE training as part of the apprenticeship requirements.
- Ask questions and learn from experienced tradespeople to develop your skills and knowledge.

Who We're Looking For
We want someone who's motivated, reliable, and eager to learn. You'll have:
- Year 10 completion (minimum).
- A genuine interest in a manufacturing or mechanical career.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Commitment to attend all required TAFE classes.
