About the Role

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and personable Senior Asbestos Analyst to join their team This permanent opportunity is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a dynamic, client-focused environment with ample opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

As part of this role, you will:

  • Lead asbestos inspections and identify ACMs through sample collection, analysis, and detailed reporting in a NATA Accredited laboratory, in line with AS 4964 and AS 5370 standards.
  • Operate sampling equipment in diverse environments including buildings and industrial facilities.
  • Accurately identify and analyse asbestos samples using stereo and polarised light microscopy (PLM).
  • Communicate effectively with clients and onsite personnel regarding inspections and findings.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation and reports that meet NATA-accredited standards.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in asbestos testing.
  • Proven experience using PLM and stereo microscopes for asbestos identification.
  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • Prior experience working with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS 5370 (formerly AS 4964), or ISO 22262.
  • Recent external proficiency testing advantageous
