Alex Fraser Group has an opportunity for a committed Load Inspector to join our team based at our
Archerfield Recycling Facility
. The Load Inspector is one of our most important roles on our concrete recycling sites. You'll work outdoors and direct customer truck movements each day, communicating clearly with drivers and ensuring they tip off their loads of concrete and building rubble safely.
There will be a requirement to be available for all shifts and weekends where required. Monday to Friday, hours p/day on average, and rostered half day Saturday.
In your new role with us, you will be responsible for:
- Customer Service/Face to face communication of safety rules to incoming trucks
- Inspection of all incoming material
- Rejection of any contaminated loads
- Directing trucks to safe tipping areas
- Communicating via UHF radio with the Excavator and Loader operator about truck movements
- Inspecting and maintaining safe floor levels in conjunction with the loader and Excavator operator so our customers can tip safely
- Completion of daily checks and hazard/incident reporting
- Along with load inspecting, you will also be required at times to work in other areas of the plant

- Able to stand for long periods of time
- From a quarry or recycling background (not essential)
