MAAP, a global leader in technical apparel, is seeking a Sustainability & Compliance Manager to lead our ambitious 10-year Sustainability Roadmap.

This is a pivotal opportunity to embed sustainability deep within our business, with a primary focus on our supply chain, and ensure our products meet the highest standards of compliance.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you'll be instrumental in executing our comprehensive sustainability strategy and achieving critical milestones across diverse areas:

  • Drive Our Sustainability Vision:
    You'll be the driving force behind our newly formed 10-year Sustainability Roadmap, ensuring we meet our ambitious objectives.
  • Sustainable Sourcing:
    Collaborate closely with our design team to implement industry-leading sustainable and ethical sourcing practices for all materials.
  • End-to-End Traceability:
    Establish and manage robust processes to document all material information and sources, ensuring full traceability from Tier 1 to Tier 3 suppliers.
  • People-Centric Policies:
    Partner with our People and Culture team to integrate essential sustainability-focused policies into our HR framework.
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction:
    Lead the implementation of our strategy to monitor and significantly reduce our CO2 emissions through impactful initiatives.
  • Waste & Circularity:
    Champion initiatives for sustainable product design, take-back programs, in-market repair services, and significant production waste reduction.
  • Cultivate a Culture of Sustainability:
    Develop and deliver engaging education and awareness programs for all employees to foster a strong internal sustainability culture.
  • Pioneer Innovation:
    Position MAAP at the forefront of sustainable innovation in technical apparel, collaborating with our design team to push boundaries.
  • Ensure Product Compliance:
    Become our in-house expert, overseeing all activities and documentation required to meet sustainability, regulatory (especially EU regulations), and customer compliance standards for packaging, chemical testing, and more.

THE CANDIDATE

You're a proactive and autonomous individual with a proven track record in sustainability and compliance, ideally in the apparel sector. You're eager to become the go-to expert in this field, leveraging external support when needed, and are passionate about driving real-world impact.

You'll work cross-functionally, with a strong focus on our supply chain, and contribute positively to MAAP's vibrant team culture.
