Financial Controller / Company Accountant | Brisbane

About the Role

Working in exclusive partnership with our client, we are seeking a capable FC/Company Accountant who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and taking ownership of the finance function end-to-end.

You'll support the ELT with forward strategy while also ensuring the accuracy and reliability of day-to-day financial operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being close to the numbers. Reduced or flexible hours may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full finance function, including month-end and year-end processes
  • Deliver accurate financial and management reporting
  • Cashflow management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Support leadership with strategic insights and commercial decision-making
  • Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and controls

About You

  • A proactive, hands-on accountant with a commercial mindset
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and in the detail
  • Strong technical accounting capability with solid financial control experience
  • Industry experience in property development or construction is highly advantageous
  • ERP experience preferred (TechOne or similar ideal)
  • A natural problem-solver with strong communication and business partnering skills
  • Able to start pre-Christmas or early in the New Year ideally
  • An AU/NZ resident/citizen with unrestricted working rights
