We are seeking a commercially astute Financial Controller to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior finance role at Wagners, supporting operations across Australian together with international exposure including Texas, USA.

The Role

This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will have some of the following key responsibilities.

· Deliver strong financial discipline and timely, insightful reporting.

· Produce accounts and half yearly reports

· Prepare statutory reports and tax returns

· Oversee financial systems and drive process improvements

· Transform data into actionable commercial insights.

About You

· CPA or CA qualified, plus a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

· Proven experience in financial leadership within complex environments.

· Previous experience in a reputable public company and/or a large complex private organisation.

· Strong technical knowledge in statutory reporting, and compliance. Ideally this strong knowledge will include tax.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

· Ability to deliver high-quality results to hard deadlines.

· Aspiring to be a future CFO would be highly regarded.
