Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Project Pathway Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Company Background

Our client is a high-growth FinTech organisation with a strong and rapidly growing consumer base enabling them to double their team size this year. Backed by strong leadership and a clear product vision, they're scaling quickly and looking to bring on a versatile Agile Business Analyst to help shape their next phase of growth.

About The Role

This is an end-to-end Business Analyst role spanning both digital and technical BA responsibilities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Design to drive requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery of new features and system enhancements.

Whether your background leans more digital or technical, the team is open to someone who is keen to grow across both areas. You'll be involved in early discovery, writing user stories and process flows, and supporting agile delivery in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering through workshops, interviews, and analysis
  • Write clear, actionable user stories and functional specs
  • Map out current vs. future state processes and identify gaps or improvements
  • Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure solutions meet requirements
  • Support sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Assist with backlog refinement and prioritisation
  • Liaise with stakeholders across digital product and internal systems teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of BA practices and agile delivery

About You

  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst across the full SDLC
  • Background in either digital product environments and / or technical back-end systems
  • Confident working with stakeholders to define and challenge requirements
  • Skilled in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and wireframes
  • Familiar with Agile delivery (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in insurance, financial services or a start-up/scale-up environment a plus

Company Culture

This is a collaborative, down-to-earth team that values initiative, open communication, and continuous learning. You'll be working in a supportive and fast-paced environment where your ideas are encouraged and you'll have plenty of room to grow. Hybrid working is in place, with 3 days per week in their Sydney CBD office.
