Qualifications & experience

  • NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in operating mining and earthmoving plant and equipment in a quarry or similar environment is required.
  • Supervisory and organisational skills to assist Quarry Manager in daily operations
  • Strong communication skills and loyalty to employer
  • Multi-skilled operator with mobile plant operator with competencies or licences and tickets must be held at time of application for front-end loaders, excavators, dump trucks, water carts, and other mobile quarry plant.
  • Crushing experience including maintenance
  • Experience in quarry products, processing and stockpiling highly regarded.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Work with the Quarry Manager in overseeing daily operations of production and staff
  • Regular communication with the Quarry Manager on all aspects of operation
  • Daily operation of front-end loaders, excavators, and dump trucks in providing aggregate to the crushing and screening and pre-coat plant.
  • Quarry plant maintenance and stockpiling.
  • Crushing experience including maintenance such as changing screens.
  • Assisting a close-knit team with duties to meet the ongoing needs of the quarry.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sound WHS practices, quality and production.
  • Accurate completion of work-related documentation.
