The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) is Australia's independent national quality assurance and regulatory agency for higher education. TEQSA's purpose is to deliver quality assurance that protects the interests of students and upholds the reputation of Australian higher education, ensuring it remains among the best in the world.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director, Corporate Services and Regulatory Support is a key member of TEQSA's Executive Leadership Team. The position provides strategic leadership across the agency's corporate and enabling services functions — including financial management, ICT and business solutions, people and capability, infrastructure, and corporate performance — to ensure TEQSA remains agile, accountable, and well-positioned to deliver on its purpose.

As a trusted adviser to the CEO and the Accountable Authority, the Executive Director will shape TEQSA's operational priorities, lead a multidisciplinary team, and model a culture of collaboration, integrity, and high performance. The role requires a seasoned executive who can navigate a dynamic operating environment, drive innovation and continuous improvement, and deliver high-quality outcomes that support effective regulation and organisational capability.

You are a strategic, forward-thinking leader with demonstrated experience in:

  • Leading corporate services or enabling functions in a complex or regulatory environment;
  • Building and sustaining high-performing teams through change;
  • Providing authoritative advice on strategic planning, governance, and risk;
  • Engaging effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Delivering reform and continuous improvement in service delivery and systems.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in the public or higher education sector will be highly regarded.
