Brightstar Nursing Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This role will be based in Wollongong, Nowra, Berry and Batemans Bay, NSW and will involve providing catering support in an aged care setting.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and serving meals and refreshments to residents
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Assisting with food preparation, including portioning, plating and garnishing
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service to residents
  • Supporting the catering team as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a catering or food service role, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
  • Minimum of 6-12 months catering or food service experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Formal food safety certification or training required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Must have Australian work rights
