Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

  • To build relationships with Engineers, Consultants, Designers, Architects, Builders, Developers and Contractors through quality, consistent and purposeful visits whereby they are made aware, have necessary information and become strong net promoters of all ECCO Supply's product lines.
  • Our goal is that as many ECCO Supply products as possible are listed as "Basis of Design" (BOD), "Approved as Equal" or at minimum "Approved as Alternate" on all relevant projects which will result in sales of said product.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC products and services and will be able to effectively meet sales targets and drive business growth.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to: Regional Director of Sales, or designate

Key Responsibilities
General Duties:

  • Contact/visit Engineers, Consultants, Designers, Architects, Builders and Developers on a consistent basis.
  • Provide monthly call/sales activity reports to management including details on upcoming project tenders with an approximate budget figure for mechanical systems and/or equipment.
  • Create and maintain a detailed database for all Engineering firms. Database to contain specific names, emails and any pertinent info required.
  • Create awareness of new products offerings or product changes in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate and deliver professional presentations on select equipment/products as required
  • Resolve requirement for "Approved Equals" when our products are not specified
  • Regularly communicate with Engineers, Consultants, Designers, Architects, Builders and Developers to stay current with what is going on in the marketplace – "stay ahead of the curve"
  • Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO Supply customers and affiliates to create and maintain repeat business with Ecco Supply
  • Create and maintain a detailed database for all Commercial Contractors. Database to contain similar info to aforementioned mentioned Engineering database
  • Assist in new product training with Engineers and Contractors
  • Regularly attend ASHRAE and various meetings and factory training seminars as required
  • Visit construction sites as required to troubleshoot, and problem solve situation that arise relating to any equipment that we supply.
  • Building strong and productive relationships with managers and supervisors; work with them to plan and deliver a structured approach for improving employee engagement, communication, and training.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth and meet sales targets.
  • Foster strong relationships with key customers, providing technical support and solutions to meet their needs
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies as necessary
  • Create and deliver sales reports and presentations to senior management
  • Mentor and train team members on technical and sales skills
  • Provide support for the bidding and proposal process, working with internal and external partners as necessary
  • Assist in trade shows offered by ECCO, suppliers and / or customers
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years' recent, related Sales experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering.
  • Strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated skills in delivering year to year financial results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Commitment to employee training and development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills.
