About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will take charge of overseeing operations, including the strategic planning and coordination of our fleet within a dynamic operation. With your passion for developing, supporting, and mentoring your team, you will inspire them to reach their full potential to contribute to ongoing success.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule vehicle movements efficiently adhering to legislative requirements.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance, cleanliness, licensing, certification, and driver training inductions and assessments.
  • Inspire, coach and develop employees to maximize their potential, creating a positive inclusive work environment.
  • Work closely with clients to ensure strong ongoing relationships and KPI's are achieved.
  • Ensure full compliance with all company policies, including Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental standards as well as workers compensation protocols.
  • Support with handling HR matters including recruitment and selection processes in compliance with the HR policies and procedure.

You will bring:

  • Working knowledge of the Dangerous Goods industry is mandatory.
  • Proven management and leadership experience. 
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the transport industry.
  • Expertise in Chain of Responsibility WHS/OHS, and NHVR.
  • Fuel Industry experience is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
