The Role: As the General Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall management and success of the venue, including bar, restaurant, gaming, retail and entertainment services. At the Maraboon Tavern, there is always an event, including live entertainment, trivia nights, live sports, and music festivals

Your leadership will be key to maintaining high service standards, driving business performance, and fostering a positive team culture in this dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Drive revenue growth through innovative strategies and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage budgets and financial reporting, ensuring cost controls are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and health & safety requirements.
  • Foster relationships with the local community and enhance the hotel's reputation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and inspire your team to deliver excellence.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for hospitality.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues)
  • Approved Manager's License
  • Gaming Nomination & License
  • Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) certification
  • QLD RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
  • QLD RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)
