ROSTER: 8:6 day shift only - 12hrs (local from Kalgoorlie) or 2:1 day shift only - 12hrs (local or FIFO from Perth)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a shotfirer at Norton Gold Fields, you are expected to play a critical role in safely executing blast operations in line with regulatory and company standards. You will oversee the blast crew, manage explosives and magazine records, and ensure timely, controlled detonations to support production goals. This role also requires strong attention to safety, compliance, and quality throughout all stages of the blasting process.

• Supervise blast crew operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, including signage and barricades during blasting activities.
• Manage explosives usage and magazine records to ensure compliance, accuracy, and proper reconciliation.
• Execute blasts safely and on schedule, maintaining high standards of quality while minimising downtime and wastage.
• Follow all company and regulatory procedures related to safety, quality, health, and the environment.
• Coordinate and support daily blasting activities, including assisting crew members and completing general duties as needed.
• Train and mentor blast crew offsiders in alignment with the company's training plans and standards.
• Maintain confidentiality, demonstrate accountability, and uphold professional conduct in all blasting-related responsibilities.

ABOUT YOU

• Valid WA Surface Shotfirer's Licence and Dangerous Goods Security Card (Essential).
• Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "C" Driver's Licence (Essential).
• At least 2 years of relevant experiencein Open Pit blasting or similar (Essential).
• Comfortable supervising the blast crew and assisting with blast operations.
