Goal Indigenous Services are seeking skilled Shotfirers to join our client's mining operations across WA. This role is responsible for operating blasting equipment and ensuring the safe handling and use of explosives in line with legislation, site standards, and the Explosives Management Plan.

About the Role

  • Operate stemming trucks, electronic detonators, and firing units.
  • Safely handle, transport, and use explosives in accordance with regulations.
  • Comply with blasting plans and site safety requirements.
  • Inspect and prepare blasting areas to ensure readiness.
  • Maintain blasting records and stock control of explosive products.
  • Support blast supervisors and engineers with planning and on-bench activities.
  • Ensure all blasts are fired safely, on schedule, and without safety issues.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Shotfirer / Blasting Operator role.
  • Current WA 'C' Class Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).
  • Appointed Shotfirer Authorisation.
  • Criminal History Clearance (DG and Blast Secure Nominee).
  • MPU and small loader experience highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with explosives legislation.
