Assistant Director/ Centre Manager

Little Environeers is on the hunt for an incredible Assistant Director/ Centre Manager to join our freshly renovated service in Macleod. The service is family owned and operated service which truly passionate and hand picked educators on board who require a strong Assistant Director/Centre Manager to continue lead by example. We are not your ordinary early learning service, so are seeking someone who has a strong passion for quality, compliance and can work well under pressure whilst always putting the team, families and children first. The service is requiring a driven and hardworking individual that can keep up with the pace and passion of the Service Director and team striving for a centre that stands out from the rest.
We foster and encourage an outdoor learning program which operates in all weather and have a strong belief in encouraging children to explore and learn in the outdoors in appropriate attire. We encourage risky play and love when the children are busy making mess. You will be enthusiastic about our philosophy and lead and implement this throughout the whole team.

While our children don't ask for much, we are looking for someone who;
-Isn't afraid to get muddy and messy
-Understands the benefits of all weather outdoor play
-Willing to ditch the pre set experiences and promote and encourage curiosity by using less toys and more real word materials in the learning environment
- Be able to put the children's needs above everything else
- Be able to work along side a team of extremely passionate educators and share your ideas and visions for a truly holistic approach to children's learning
- Believe in the beauty of spontaneous leaning experiences and be able to scaffold children's learning as it unfolds
- Are innovative and passionate about making a difference in all children's lives
- Are able to work with interruptions from the team, families and children and identify areas the service needs support
-Be prepared to mentor and support your team as needed, even if this requires multiple days on the floor to guide practices
- Be pro active, and thrive in finding solutions
-Be an all rounder that supports the service manager in all operations of the service with a can do attitude

Now the Nitty Gritty requirements;
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Applicants are required to have a current Working with Children Check at the time of application.
- Candidates must demonstrate relevant Early Childhood Education leadership experience to be considered for this position, with the minimum being a Lead Educator for 2 years.
- Previous experience in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, team leadership and management of staff
- Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
- Be able to use social media, google drive and have great attention to detail in ensuring policies and procedures are accurate representations of our service
- Preferable knowledge of using OWNA
- Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law Application Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations and/ or act as a Responsible Person
Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and/or My Time Our Place Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018)
