Now, we're doubling down. With plans to double the business in the next 18 months, our Account Manager will drive growth by managing client relationships, nurturing SMB accounts, and turning opportunities into results from sale through to fulfilment.
About the Role
We're looking for a Accounts Manager in our Construction division to own, optimise, and grow client relationships while driving sales performance and accelerating growth across your allocated accounts.
This is a newly created, high-impact role and a key driver of our growth. You'll be part strategist, part relationship builder, and part sales leader — translating client needs into tangible growth opportunities and ensuring seamless execution from sale through to fulfilment.
It's a perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-moving scale-up environment, understands the operational realities of client management, and excels at building strong client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving measurable business results.
What You'll Do
- Grow your allocated accounts to meet or exceed individual and team KPIs and sales targets.
- Build strong, lasting partnerships with clients and identify opportunities to expand business.
- Prospect and generate new business through networking, presentations, and outreach activities.
- Handle inbound and outbound client communications, including inquiries and marketing campaign responses.
- Manage your own sales pipeline to ensure consistent achievement of targets.
- Oversee all sales-related communications and processes, including appointments, leads, quotes, orders, and job bookings.
- Take ownership of unfulfilled sales and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and send proposals for technical assessments when required.
- Nurture client relationships by understanding their needs and acting as the main point of contact for escalations.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service and Field Service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Support the development and delivery of sales training for new and existing team members.
- Mentor, coach, and develop the sales support team to strengthen overall performance.
What You'll Bring
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, products, and services.
- Proficiency in CRM and work management systems to streamline account management and sales processes.
- Solid understanding of sales best practices, including pipeline management and account management.
- Proven experience in both sales conversion and ongoing account management.
- Ability to use data and analytics to monitor performance, manage KPIs, and optimise sales outcomes.
- A track record of consistently achieving sales targets and delivering measurable results.
