Cabinet Vision/Production Draftsperson

We are a friendly and well-established cabinetmaking company located in St. Marys. Currently seeking a Production Detailed Draftsperson to join our team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, and has a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating detailed production drawings for manufacturing based on architectural plans.
  • Understanding construction methods, solving design and construction issues.
  • Collaborating with staff and subcontractors around design and construction.
  • Communicating with builders, supervisors, constructions managers and clients.
  • Placing orders for necessary materials.
  • Ensuring that tasks are completed according to the production schedule.

Requirements:

  • Experience using Cabinet Vision 21 or a higher version.
  • Experience creating and/or modifying construction methods, UCS's and tooling to suit builders design requirements.
  • Competent in joinery construction, installation methods, and material limitations.
  • Ability to understand and interpret installation manuals for appliances and joinery mechanisms to apply drill patterns and custom construction methods to accommodate.
  • Ability to understand and interpret architectural plans, colour schedules, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and construction understanding.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Proactive and skilled in problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of the trade, including familiarity with industry products and materials.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity with an immediate start. The wage is open to negotiation based on your experience and ability.
