About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grounds Operations Supervisor to join our team at BIG4 Deniliquin Holiday Park in Deniliquin, NSW (located just 3 ½ hours from Melbourne, 50 minutes North of Echuca).

As the Grounds Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stunning grounds and facilities of this popular holiday destination. Reporting to the Park Operations Manager, this full-time position will see you responsible for the upkeep and presentation of the holiday park's gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the grounds team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management and staff rostering
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain the park's grounds, gardens, and outdoor facilities to the highest standard.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Liaise with management to identify and address any issues or areas for improvement
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment for the grounds team

Who we're looking for

  • Experience in grounds management, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry, but not essential
  • Being able to work alongside and supervising the grounds team, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Maintenance of pools, waterpark, amenity block, BBQ's etc.
  • Willingness to attend to after-hours call-outs if they should arise.
  • Maintaining up to date documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in the use of grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
  • Good handyman skills are essential.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality facilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field would be highly regarded.
  • Physically fit and enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude
  • Enjoy a high amount of people contact.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to difference situations.
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends (rotating rosters), school and public holidays
  • Must be eligible to obtain Working with Children Check and pass Police Check
  • Physical fitness to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions and lift up to 20kg
