About the position:

We're seeking a confident and experienced Payroll & Reporting Manager to take ownership of our payroll operations.

In this exciting role, you'll oversee end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments across the group. You'll leverage your technical expertise to maintain payroll systems, deliver timely reports, and support business leaders with actionable insights. Working closely with both the HR team and broader management, you'll be a trusted advisor on payroll compliance, employee movements, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring adherence to statutory, accounting, and head office requirements
  • Oversee detailed employee movement reports and provide analysis to support business decisions
  • Maintain and optimise payroll, time and attendance software (Definitiv)
  • Support employee queries and champion data accuracy for timesheets and personal details
  • Interpret personnel contracts, employment policies, and Fair Work provisions to ensure compliance
  • Lead payroll projects and reporting initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

About you:

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications/ experience and capabilities:

  • Experience with Definitiv software preferred
  • Certificate IV or at least 5 years' payroll experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate+ Microsoft Excel skills (formulas and report formatting required)
  • Proactive problem-solver; skilled in payroll data analytics
  • Service-oriented; willing to support business and project teams
