We're looking for a Workforce Planning Specialist to lead a critical, organisation-wide initiative focused on optimising how we roster, deploy, and support our people across a 24/7 operational environment.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our workforce strategy - driving efficiency, wellbeing, and service excellence.
About the Role In this project-focused role, you'll take the lead on a detailed review and analysis of workforce structures, rosters, and service delivery requirements. Your work will help us design smarter, more sustainable staffing models that balance operational needs with employee wellbeing and compliance obligations.
You'll partner closely with senior stakeholders, operational leaders, and HR teams to bring data-driven insights to life - turning analysis into meaningful change.
What You'll Do
- Lead a strategic workforce planning initiative across 24/7 operations.
- Review and model roster structures, team configurations, and staffing patterns.
- Analyse data to identify trends in utilisation, sick leave, and workforce gaps.
- Build and test scenario models that improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Evaluate SLA and contractual requirements to ensure workforce alignment.
- Collaborate with leaders to implement and monitor roster changes.
- Ensure all recommendations meet legislative and award compliance.
- Drive best-practice approaches to workforce deployment and leave management.
About You You're curious, analytical, and great at connecting data with people. You have the confidence to challenge existing processes and the skill to bring others on the journey.
You'll likely bring:
- Experience in workforce or operational planning within a complex, 24/7 environment.
- Strong analytical and modelling capability (Excel or workforce planning tools).
- A collaborative approach and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of industrial relations frameworks and compliance requirements.
- A passion for using data to drive smarter workforce decisions.
Why Join Us This is your chance to make a real impact - shaping the way we manage and support a large, dynamic workforce. You'll work alongside passionate leaders in an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
