Your new role
As a Project Engineer – Track & Civil, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of critical rail infrastructure works. Your focus will be on the renewal and upgrade of key track and civil assets, including:

  • Turnouts, crossovers, rail and sleepers
  • Formation, ballast, and station pits
  • Level and pedestrian crossings
  • Rail profiling and associated civil works
Key responsibilities:
  • Review and validate project nominations for track and civil works.
  • Coordinate site inspections and stakeholder workshops
  • Provide engineering input into project planning and development
  • Support cost estimation and design phase management
  • Develop project briefs and high-level scopes
  • Manage the design process, ensuring compliance and quality
  • Conduct site visits for investigation and stakeholder engagement

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering

  • Proven experience in rail infrastructure, particularly track renewal projects

  • Background in railway maintenance or consultancy design is preferred

  • Strong understanding of project development, design, and costing

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
