Location: Your Foodz Takeaway / Your Foodz 3875

Hours: Varied shifts between 6:00am – 8:00pm, Monday to Friday with possible weekend work.

Are you passionate about creating delicious café food and keeping customers coming back? We're seeking an energetic and experienced cook or chef to join our kitchen team in a busy café and takeaway that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys variety in their shifts and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a range of café-style and takeaway menu items to high standards
  • Ensure food is presented consistently and served in a timely manner, even during busy periods
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety at all times and comply with food safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver great service
  • Manage food stocks, monitor ingredient quality, assist with ordering supplies and reducing waste
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as required
About You
  • Previous experience as a cook or chef in a café, bistro, or similar fast-paced venue
  • A passion for preparing tasty, fresh, appealing food
  • Awareness of food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster between 6am and 8pm, with some weekend availability
  • Good time management, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Trade qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar) desirable but not essential
