A high-profile Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Strategic Project Officer to drive strategic relationship engagement, deliver high-value partnerships, and lead initiatives that support organisational growth and capability. The successful Strategic Project Officer will work within a transformation-focused division to scope and lead commercial and partnership projects, enhance business development systems and campaigns, and contribute to the development of new products and services for priority markets.

The successful Strategic Project Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to generate long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities in priority sectors.
  • Planning, managing, and supporting the delivery of business development campaigns, programs, and partnerships to ensure effective execution.
  • Preparing high-quality briefs, business cases, proposals, and tailored pitch documents, and representing the organisation at key meetings and engagements.

The successful Strategic Project Officer will have experience in the following:

  • Building and managing stakeholder relationships and networks, with the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve results.
  • Business development, commercial partnerships, or client engagement in complex environments.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with influence and provide subject matter expertise.
