The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to provide high-quality supervision, leadership, and operational support to a small but passionate team of approx. 10 staff. This is a part-time position working Tuesday to Friday, 7.45am to 4.15pm.
This role requires flexibility, including working flexible hours each month to support after hours team and supervision, with the ability to respond to client safety issues outside of hours on a shared on-call rotating roster.
You will report directly to the Manager and the Management Committee.
Key Responsibilities
As Team Leader, you will:
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring excellence in case management, support and advocacy services.
- Lead team case management meetings, fostering a culture of learning, reflection, and collaboration.
- Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development opportunities to all staff.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and induction of new staff.
- Ensure all client and staff files are maintained in accordance with privacy and HSQF standards.
- Oversee compliance with IT and cyber security protocols.
- Coordinate staff rostering and leave approvals.
- Act as the point of contact for all frontline staff, maintaining clear boundaries and professionalism.
- Be responsible for government reporting, internal registers, case studies, adhoc data collection with accountability and efficiency
- Provide relief management support during leave periods.
About You
You are a passionate and confident leader who builds strong, supportive teams. You bring deep knowledge of domestic and family violence from a feminist perspective and a commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based practice.
Key Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or similar.
- Strong understanding of domestic and family violence, including its impact on diverse communities.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in complex work environments, with proven ability to support staff development and implement reflective practice models.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Confident in liaising with external agencies, government departments and advocating for client needs.
- Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new systems and procedures.
Other Requirements
- Current driver's licence.
- Current Blue Card
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
