Canterbury and District Preschool - Early Childhood Educator x 2

Commencing Term 1 (from 27 January) 2026

We have introduced a new 2026 Program Timetable and are seeking two Diploma/ Certificate III qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our teamin our 3YO and 4YO programs.

CDP is a welcoming and inclusive community.  You will be supported in your role by an experienced and friendly teaching team and committee of management with opportunities for professional learning, collaboration and enjoying teaching and learning within our beautiful, natural environment on the edge of community parklands.

Work Days/Hours of Role(s):

Role 1 - 3YO Program: Mondays and Thursdays: 8.00am to 5.00pm (with 45 min lunch breaks/30 mins unpaid) – session times are 8.30pm to 4.00pm each day

Role 2 - 4YO Program: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 8.00am to 5.00pm (with 45 min lunch breaks/30 mins unpaid) - session times are 8.30pm to 4.00pm each day

Description of Roles(s):

The position will require you to be an active team member and includes:

  • Building responsive, equitable and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues and community
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of inspiring play-based learning programs to extend children's interests, strengths and abilities
  • Maintaining CDP's high standards and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Applying your commitment to and knowledge of the Child Safe Standards to contribute to a child safe organisation that recognises and values the diverse backgrounds of all children, families, and the local community

What We Are Looking For:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Diploma or Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA approved equivalent
  • Current WWCC or VIT Registration
  • Current First Aid qualifications
  • Mandatory Child Protection & Reporting certificate (or willingness to complete prior to start)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Desirable: Experience working in sessional community Kindergarten
