What's the role?

We are looking for a performance-driven Digital & Audience Lead. You'll showcase a deep understanding of audience and distribution, driving the biggest audience outcomes from S&C tier 1 journalism (health, business, education and food). You will be responsible for amplifying daily content and also distributing and project managing large-scale projects. 

This role can be based in any state nationally

This role is both hands-on and strategic, acting as the key digital and audience lead for the premium distribution team. You will have strong communication skills, deep knowledge of digital and audience trends, and a proactive approach to channel updates.

The lead will work closely with editors and newsrooms on distribution, platform strategy and execution. They will provide insights on trends, and contribute to strategic decision-making through recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret audience insights to define audience-led storytelling for Tier 1 editors 

  • Always-on approach to driving strong digital outcomes for News Corp's premium journalism 

  • Work collaboratively with cross-section teams across Australia in influencing journalism from ideation to be audience-focused 

  • Proactive project management of the distribution of journalism, from ideation to fully distributed 

  • Create and implement A/B testing for audience growth, including regular detailed reporting of audience outcomes 

Who are you?

  • Strong experience in journalism and working within the media industry, with a strong news sense

  • Analytical and insights-driven, focused on delivering measurable audience outcomes for multiple performance markers

  • Excellent communicator with strong skills in storytelling, persuasion, and change management

  • A strong work ethic, with proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams 

  • Flexibility in a seven-day newsroom - including weekend shifts.
